About the position

The position serves as a key resource for internal and external customers, including applicants, employees, leaders, and the HR operations team, focusing on recruiting, employee relations, policy, and compliance. The role involves using HR information systems and productivity software to track, report, document, and correspond in support of departmental activities. The individual is expected to provide exceptional customer service, maintain knowledge of HR practices, and support onboarding and compliance functions while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Auditing onboarding compliance and ensuring accuracy of candidate records during pre-hire processes.
  • Developing and implementing systems for onboarding assistance to new hires and hiring managers.
  • Identifying opportunities for HR policy improvement and making recommendations.
  • Using HR information systems to track and report staff compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinating review of employee records and processing removals as necessary.
  • Leading compliance file audits and preparing regulatory correspondence.
  • Maintaining HR forms, policies, and document management processes.
  • Tracking and reporting on employee relations and engagement initiatives.
  • Using document management systems to maintain employee records and relations documents.
  • Producing and preparing quarterly exit survey results and onboarding completion cards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Three years prior HR experience in employee relations, recruiting, or project management.
  • Understanding of labor laws and regulations (e.g., I-9, EEOC, ADAA, FMLA, FLSA, USCIS).
  • HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Prior experience using an HR information system.
  • Functional knowledge of productivity software, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
