About the position

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Compliance & Privacy Analyst to join our team at RxBenefits, Inc. This full-time position is based in Washington, DC, and offers a competitive salary range of $48,000 to $60,000 annually. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong desire to seek solutions, and a commitment to learning. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to ensure that RxBenefits maintains high standards for our compliance and privacy program. You will be responsible for tracking and assisting with internal compliance and privacy incident investigations, performing internal interviews, conducting research for root cause analysis, and assessing risks. Your responsibilities will also include establishing and maintaining accurate records of compliance and privacy activities, enhancing program metrics and reporting, and supporting data mapping and inventory efforts. You will aid in the review of business associate agreements and related documents to identify compliance risks, generate responses to privacy and security questionnaires, and participate in the development of educational tools and training related to data privacy and compliance. Effective communication and timely responses to inquiries will be essential, as you will serve as a proactive change agent to drive continual improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Track and assist with internal compliance and privacy incident investigations, including performing internal interviews or research in connection with root cause analysis, risk assessment and follow up activities.
  • Establish and maintain accurate records of compliance and privacy activities and reports, including any complaints or investigations.
  • Enhance compliance and privacy program metrics and reporting and evaluate to identify trends or areas of risk.
  • Support data mapping and data inventory efforts.
  • Aid in review of business associate, data use, and related agreements to identify data privacy and compliance risks.
  • Generate or support company responses to privacy and security questionnaires, data processing agreement requests, and/or security and privacy elements in RFPs and RFIs and ensure such responses are compliant with company policies.
  • Participate in the development, modification, or maintenance of educational tools and training with respect to data privacy and compliance.
  • Effectively communicate information and timely respond to questions or requests for guidance and information.
  • Serve as a positive, proactive change agent to drive continual improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management acumen.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HIPAA.
  • Pharmacy benefit management or healthcare related experience.
