About the position

As a member of the Compliance & Product Services team, you will play a crucial role in the technical development of new and revised insurance programs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business environment. Your primary focus will be on enhancing customer satisfaction, product quality, and ensuring the relevance and timeliness of insurance offerings. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a strong understanding of insurance regulations and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Draft policy language and develop manual rules for insurers in issuing and rating policies.
  • Review laws, regulations, and case law for impact on ISO products and insurer procedures.
  • Develop policy language and rules for major program updates to enhance insurance products.
  • Review state laws and requirements to ensure compliance and relevance in program updates.
  • Provide timely responses to insurer inquiries on a wide range of insurance topics using insurance expertise and research skills.
  • Develop and present items to panels of insurers on emerging trends and potential revisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Product Development, Law Department, Government Relations, and Actuarial teams.
  • Research and review new products in conjunction with the Product Development team, considering impacts on other products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of P&C insurance experience in product development, claims, underwriting, or submitting filings with insurance regulators.
  • Experience in analyzing and developing forms, rules, and/or rating is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organization, research, and analytic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO commercial auto or personal auto insurance lines procedures is a plus.
  • CPCU exam study or completion is a plus.
