About the position

The Compliance Program Manager at X Corp. is responsible for overseeing and enhancing compliance programs related to social media regulations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to statutory obligations, conducting risk assessments, and managing compliance monitoring efforts. The position is pivotal in fostering a culture of compliance within the organization as it continues to develop its innovative app.

Responsibilities

  • Support the global regulatory compliance monitoring program, identifying areas for improvement and providing compliance recommendations.
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of key statutory compliance obligations including transparency reports and risk assessments and audits.
  • Manage team and important stakeholder meetings, capturing decisions and action items and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Legal and Safety teams to identify thematic commonalities across different regulatory obligations.
  • Support the build and enhancement of our content compliance record keeping infrastructure and processes.
  • Maintain governance documentation related to management body reporting and reviews.
  • Deliver training and communications for internal stakeholders regarding record keeping obligations and operational, business impacts associated with content compliance.
  • Participate in other compliance work as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in communications, compliance, information governance or related fields.
  • 2+ years focused experience in project and/or process management.
  • Experience in a social media company strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of key areas of law including the EU Digital Services Act and other similar global laws.
  • Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with managing logistics across multiple teams in multiple countries.
  • Experience with design, development and maintenance of clear and auditable record keeping processes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
