About the position

The Compliance Specialist at Honda will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in regulatory compliance within the plant. This role is crucial for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements through various activities such as document control, auditing, tracking, reporting, and education. The specialist will lead compliance audits, develop training materials, and support departments in understanding and implementing compliance measures.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Regulatory Compliance PIC for the Plant, ensuring understanding and communication of regulations.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of model Control Plans and Inspection Standards.
  • Support and lead internal regulatory compliance audits, including preparation and addressing concerns found.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with requirements and support departments in developing sustainable solutions.
  • Develop training materials and lead training sessions for regulation knowledge based on individual roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality/Management related field or equivalent Manufacturing/Compliance experience.
  • 0-5 years of related experience in compliance or quality management.
  • Knowledge of regulations relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills to summarize results and manage projects effectively.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude towards improving quality processes.
