About the position

The Training and Development Specialist at Customers Bank is responsible for designing, developing, and administering training programs that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while enhancing employee skills. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external resources to create effective learning solutions tailored to the needs of the bank and its employees.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the Bank and specific groups, in alignment with the Written Agreement.
  • Administer ongoing training to all Bank employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identify and create targeted training opportunities for specialized groups within the Bank.
  • Leverage external training resources from industry organizations and integrate them into the Bank's training programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance and risk teams, to ensure training content aligns with operational and regulatory needs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training delivery, especially in areas relevant to financial services.
  • Ensure all training is documented and recorded for audit and regulatory purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in training development and delivery, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to banking and financial services.
  • Experience in working with external training vendors and integrating third-party training resources.
  • Excellent communication and instructional design skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organizational goals.
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank's applications.
