About the position
The Compliance & Vendor Management Analyst position is a contract role based in Canton, Massachusetts, focused on assessing money laundering risks and managing vendor relationships within the financial industry. The analyst will conduct thorough investigations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly related to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex analysis related to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance.
- Investigate alerts for potential money laundering risks and monitor suspicious activities.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of investigations and decisions.
- Prepare required forms for regulatory filing in accordance with Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN) guidelines.
- Assist in ensuring that filings are completed accurately, meet regulatory requirements, and are done in a timely manner.
- Risk rate new accounts as part of the compliance process.
- Oversee the Bank's Vendor Management program.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Director of Compliance & Risk, BSA/AML Officer, and other departments as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, which may be critical to the position.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Compliance & Vendor Management Analyst or in a similar role
- Proficiency in AML (Anti Money Laundering) compliance procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) regulations
- Proven experience in Vendor Management
- Familiarity with FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) rules and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
- Certification in compliance or risk management is a plus.
