About the position

The Compounder at Bayport Laboratories is responsible for producing bulk cosmetic products while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about cosmetics. The Compounder will work closely with the Quality Assurance Unit to maintain product integrity and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce bulk according to product formulation while ensuring compliance with cGMP.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Keep utensils and equipment clean and organized at all times.
• Ensure sanitization procedures are followed prior to batching according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow batch records, document, and seek approvals for any deviations from the indicated procedure.
• Handle hazardous chemicals safely, following MSDS guidelines and using required protective equipment.
• Operate production equipment effectively.
• Support the implementation of cGMP and health and safety procedures.
• Work with the Quality Assurance Unit to identify and correct problems that may lead to non-conforming products.
• Participate in maintaining the integrity of the Bayport Laboratory Water System.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.
• Identify and report hazardous workplace conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in batch manufacturing in a cosmetic or pharmaceutical environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
