About the position

The CT Technologist is responsible for maintaining the standards of the Computed Tomography (CT) area within the Imaging Department. This role involves performing CT examinations, ensuring safety and quality assurance, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients. The technologist will also monitor equipment functionality and manage imaging data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT examination per policy/procedure
• Demonstrates excellence in customer service to internal and external customers
• Supports CT quality assurance programs per ACR regulations
• Follows all CT policy, procedures, and practices as defined in department and CT policy manual
• Monitors CT area for safety and utilizes safe radiation practices
• Ensures proper working of all equipment and communicates with appropriate service personnel
• Demonstrates competency of image management utilizing RIS, HIS, PACS, and AW workstation

Requirements

• Must be credentialed in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Must possess current IDPH Permit to Practice
• Must be credentialed in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire date
• Demonstrated competence in CT preferred
• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintain current status
• Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years
