The Alaka ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking a Computer Aided Drafting Specialist (Infrastructure CAD Designer) to provide essential support to our government customer located in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. This role involves creating and maintaining as-built drawings for various requirements under NEC Baseline support and Mission support. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building infrastructure diagrams that encompass piping, cabling, and instrumentation. Additionally, the role requires updating rack elevations, network diagrams, and butterfly/shadow diagrams to reflect current configurations and changes in design. Collaboration is key in this position, as the CAD Specialist will work closely with the DPW team to access their records and incorporate red line changes as necessary. The role also involves working with infrastructure technicians on-site to observe and document changes that will be integrated into the diagrams. The ability to work independently is crucial, as the specialist will be tasked with updating existing diagrams as required. Maintaining accurate, to-scale drawings in the latest version of AutoCAD is essential, including details such as cable vault sizes, maintenance hole butterflies, duct configurations, splice connections, and cable placements with their respective distances, types, sizes, and identifiers. Furthermore, the specialist will be responsible for managing and storing engineering drawings using Army systems, as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). This includes maintaining both electronic and hard copy plant-in-place (PIP) drawing libraries in native AutoCAD and Adobe PDF formats. The position requires a strong understanding of telecommunication and engineering-based drawings, with a focus on infrastructure development.
