ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineer (Level 1) to join our team in support of the FAA's Air/Ground Communication Engineering Team. This position is integral to the FAA NAS ESS (National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract, where you will be involved in debugging and testing complex systems that encompass both hardware and software components. You will troubleshoot equipment failures and conduct thorough testing of various equipment and services, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for generating comprehensive documentation that aids in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and services. You will also review program-related documents and provide constructive feedback. Your engineering consultations will involve detailed investigations and documentation of findings, which may include white papers and engineering study reports. Additionally, you will develop briefings and presentations to communicate your findings and recommendations effectively. Your responsibilities will also include creating HDR (Hardware Discrepancy Report), PTR (Program Trouble Report), and documentation updates. You will engage in research, design, development, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of integrated computer hardware and software systems, particularly in a highly secure industrial control system environment. Proficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW, C, C++, Python, and shell scripting will be essential as you provide support across various projects. Flexibility is key, as you will work on both hardware and software projects, preparing documents and presentations as needed. Timely completion of deliverables is crucial, and you will need to demonstrate the ability to learn, adapt, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Following technical documents and providing redlines will also be part of your duties. Travel may be required as needed, and you will have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the existing mentoring program within the organization.
