We are looking for those who are committed to these same values. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Computer Hardware QA Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for qualifying components for compatibility and regulatory compliance, communicating directly with vendors, and maintaining our internal software solutions. This role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for building PCs, and a willingness to learn advanced concepts and communicate those to others with varying degrees of technical knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Qualification of Computer Components: Test varying internal components to ensure compatibility and compliance with regulatory rules as well as compliance with vendor agreements.
  • Production Preparation: Prepare a model for integration, including providing all assets to the integration facility as well as performing an on-site pilot inspection.
  • Component Quality Response: Provide a rapid response to reported high failure rates on site at the integration facilities. Provide a solution and report to Home Office leadership teams.
  • End User Support: Provide support to our end users through channels such as our Q&A section and our forum.
  • Internal Support: Provide support to Home Office and store personnel providing rapid response if any issues are detected.
  • End Product Inspections: Inspect products on site at our integration facilities to ensure quality and consistency in the end product.
  • Light Coding: Update and maintain our internal software solutions.
  • Travel: Travel to and from local integration facilities daily. Some domestic and rare international travel as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in PC troubleshooting and repair, including hardware and BIOS-level support.
  • Detail-oriented and able to identify and respond to issues quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Experience in Powershell, C#, C++, and Javascript.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in CPU, memory, and GPU overclocking is a plus.
