About the position

The Early Outreach Coordinator for Early College Programs at Scottsdale Community College is a part-time, temporary role focused on providing essential student services to high school students enrolled in various outreach programs. The position involves advising students and their families about college services, coordinating events, and representing the college at recruitment activities. The role is crucial for enhancing student access to educational opportunities and ensuring a supportive transition to college.

Responsibilities

• Assist prospective, new, and continuing students in all student services functions including recruitment and retention activities.
• Correspond with students to resolve problems related to student services functions.
• Coordinate various Early College Programs' initiatives and events.
• Represent Scottsdale Community College during workshops and recruitment events, including in-person and online presentations.
• Assist with the coordination, planning, and facilitation of on and off-campus events.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, Internet searching, and email.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to convey detailed information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to respond courteously to callers and visitors.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective at prioritizing tasks and ensuring all details are addressed in a timely manner.
