About the position

The Custom Computer Production & Logistics Manager at TrinWare is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the entire custom computer production and fulfillment operations, as well as warehouse management. This position is integral to ensuring that the production processes are efficient, profitable, and aligned with the company's growth objectives. The manager will lead a team of technicians and warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork, learning, and professional development. The role requires a hands-on approach, as the manager will not only supervise but also participate actively in the production assembly line, ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Custom Computer Production & Logistics Manager will be tasked with budgeting, time management, and financial analysis to optimize operational performance. This includes creating and implementing long and short-term goals for the team, conducting performance reviews, and collaborating with HR to ensure adequate staffing levels. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 production standards, ensuring that all processes are documented and followed meticulously. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT and management, with extensive experience in custom computer hardware solutions, logistics, and inventory management. They will be expected to mentor and train their team, instilling a culture of excellence and accountability. The position is based in Centennial, CO, and requires a commitment to working on-site five days a week, with standard business hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and the potential for extended hours based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, manage, coach, and train a team of TrinWare PC and server configuration technicians.
  • Participate and be a working manager on the custom computer production assembly line.
  • Approve and manage team schedules including time off requests.
  • Complete and execute performance reviews per company policy in a timely manner.
  • Create team and individual long and short-term goals for the Team in alignment with company objectives.
  • Work with HR to adequately staff the Production Department including interviewing potential candidates.
  • Carry and lead by example the TrinWare Core Values.
  • Assemble computer systems involving both a knowledge of hardware assembly and software installation, imaging, and deployment in a fast-paced production and manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure quality control and error checking.
  • Prepare orders for shipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform computer repairs.
  • Maintain a perfectly clean and safe work environment.
  • Coordinate building maintenance items with other departments.
  • Create, follow and maintain ISO 9001:2015 production standards.
  • Communicate with customers and internal employees that may require assistance with their solution(s).
  • Participate and offer information for QBR's with key clients.
  • Manage receiving, warehousing, shipping, and distribution services.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical and cycle counts as needed; reconciling with inventory management software.
  • Direct the organization of shipping, receiving, and warehouse area each day in preparation for the next business day.

Requirements

  • BS degree in IT, Management, or 6 years of related field experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the configuration of custom computer hardware solutions in a business environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in computer repair and troubleshooting.
  • 3-5 years of successful management experience in a fast-paced production and manufacturing environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience with the creation and deployment of Microsoft software utilizing Microsoft Image X, DISM, WDS, Acronis and/or related imaging tools.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the volume deployment of operating systems.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, and logistics management.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized warehouse skills are required.
  • Ability to execute, process, and perform mid-inventory cycle counts.
  • Expertise in MAS90 (can be gained on the job).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
