About the position

The Computer Programmer Analyst position focuses on software development, interface design, and integration with third-party software. The role requires a proactive approach to process improvements and involves taking on projects of increasing complexity. The Systems Analyst will also learn and apply project management techniques while developing expertise in specific business functions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the creation, modification, and testing of code
• Involved in the review of code from junior level and offshore programmers
• Involved in ongoing systems monitoring and general support of assigned applications
• Analyzing system/software performance
• Identifying system performance issues, recoding bugs, testing fixes, and implementing solutions
• Analyzing software solutions based on customer requirements and suggesting the best solution
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• 5-7 years of functional experience including development and implementation of functional and technical specifications for applications
• At least 3-5 years of experience and full fluency in JAVA/J2EE preferably using a web application server like Websphere or JBoss
• Experience in writing optimized complex SQL statements
• Proficiency in Angular JS, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Knowledge of Spring Framework and Design Patterns, iBatis
• Experience with AJAX, XML, Web Services/SOA
• Bachelor's degree required
• Working knowledge of systems development standards and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in testing and debugging techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint

• Agile/Kanban experience
• Responsive design and adaptive development
• REST API development
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, BAMBOO, ANT
• Experience with jQuery
• Knowledge of iSeries DB2
• Programming experience in apex, javascript/jquery, .net, python, vba, html/css, and bootstrap
• Database management experience with ms sql / sql server, postgresql, and mysql
• Experience with analytics, reporting, and BI tools like sql, crystal reports, tableau, google analytics, and cognos
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Master's degree preferred
• Specific language certifications preferred
