About the position
The Computer Programmer/Analyst at Innovative Management Solutions, Inc. is responsible for writing, analyzing, and maintaining software programs to enhance operational efficiency and meet new requirements. This role involves collaborating with various personnel to clarify program intent, conducting trial runs, and documenting program development processes.
Responsibilities
- Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs using workflow charts and diagrams.
- Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure desired results are produced.
- Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
- Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages for specific jobs such as tracking inventory or controlling equipment.
- Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent and suggest changes.
- Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure they produce the desired information.
- Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, converting them into coded instructions.
- Compile and write documentation of program development and revisions, inserting comments for clarity.
- Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to resolve problems in running computer programs.
- Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software.
