About the position
The Computer Repair Technician position involves providing technical support and repair services for various computer systems, including both Windows and Apple platforms. The role requires hands-on experience in diagnosing and fixing hardware and software issues, as well as performing onsite repairs and installations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong technical aptitude, along with excellent multitasking abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform computer diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.
- Execute virus removal and malware cleaning.
- Repair laptops and desktops, including components like motherboards, screens, keyboards, fans, RAM, and hard drives.
- Install and configure software, including operating systems and applications.
- Set up wireless networks and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Conduct data transfer and recovery services.
- Provide onsite computer repair and support.
- Install peripheral devices such as printers, cameras, and routers.
- Engage in sales-related tasks for refurbished computers.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of paid experience in computer repairs (hardware and software).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).
- Associate's degree in a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Quickbooks.
- Server repair, setup, and software management.
- Ethernet cable installation experience.
- EBAY store management experience.
