About the position
The Computer Scientist position at the FBI's Honolulu Field Office involves performing system and network procurement, installation, administration, and security. Responsibilities
- Performs system and network procurement, installation, administration, and security.
- Develops and implements custom tools and methods for digital data analysis.
- Troubleshoots and modifies existing tools and methods to identify, isolate, preserve, and analyze digital data.
- Provides technical assistance in conducting interviews, searches, and other investigative activities.
- Drafts documents on technical and professional matters at appropriate levels.
- Stays current with major advances in technology and provides guidance on relevant tools and methods.
- Coordinates with private sector and other divisions to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with specific coursework in mathematics and statistics.
- Specialized experience at the GS level appropriate to the position being applied for.
