Computer Systems Analyst II

About the position

The Computer Systems Analyst II at Netsimco is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's Local Area Network (LAN) using Cisco equipment. This role requires extensive experience with Cisco network devices and a deep understanding of network architecture, design, and troubleshooting. The analyst will ensure the efficiency, security, and scalability of the network infrastructure, providing reliable connectivity and supporting day-to-day network operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the organization's LAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Configure and deploy Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other network devices.
• Identify and resolve network issues by analyzing logs, running diagnostics, and applying necessary fixes.
• Monitor network performance using management tools and implement optimization measures.
• Implement and manage security policies and access control lists (ACLs).
• Maintain detailed documentation on network configurations, topologies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT staff and system administrators to ensure seamless integration of network systems.
• Plan, schedule, and execute network hardware/software upgrades and routine maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Cisco-based network infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Experience with LAN/WAN architecture and network security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex network issues.
• Good communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting.
