About the position

The Computer Systems Analyst for the Cincinnati Park Board is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the department's hardware systems across all park locations. This role involves a hands-on approach, requiring the analyst to visit different sites and provide in-field support to staff. The position entails evaluating, installing, and upgrading hardware components, troubleshooting issues, overseeing inventory, and coordinating repairs or replacements. The analyst will also ensure adherence to city IT policies, provide technical support and training to end-users, and manage IT projects and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize hardware systems across all park locations.
• Evaluate, install, and upgrade hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and oversee inventory management.
• Coordinate repairs or replacements of hardware systems.
• Ensure adherence to city IT policies and safety protocols.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Manage IT project schedules and supervise IT personnel.
• Establish and maintain communication with other City agencies and IT staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, geography, planning, information technology, computer science, or a related field plus four years of senior-level paid professional experience in information technology or information systems.
• Alternatively, an Associate's Degree with six years of senior-level paid professional experience in information technology or information systems.
• Valid Driver's License may be required for some positions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with geographical information systems (GIS).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C, C++, and Visual Basic.
• Familiarity with database management systems and tools.
