About the position

Nexagen Networks, a company with 25 years of success, is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst (CYBER) to join their team. This position is crucial for analyzing various data processing problems across science, engineering, business, and other domains to develop and implement effective solutions for complex application issues, system administration challenges, and network concerns. The role involves performing systems management and integration functions, enhancing existing computer systems, and reviewing system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing or recommending commercially available software to improve operational efficiency. In this project-specific role, the analyst will assist in analyzing actual and predictable operational activities of a business, providing a quantitative and rational basis for decision-making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. This includes devising models and measurement techniques, utilizing various mathematical and statistical methods, and applying engineering principles to solve complex problems. The candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts within the Cyber Research field, providing consultation on technical solutions for a wide range of complex issues that align with organizational objectives. The position also requires maintaining up-to-date records of COMSEC inventory, administering briefings and debriefings for users, and completing necessary NSA COMSEC training. The analyst will be involved in programming and distributing COMSEC devices, managing keying material, ensuring compliance with NSA policies, and providing technical support for COMSEC equipment. Additionally, the role includes evaluating new COMSEC equipment, maintaining a stock of operational equipment, updating SOPs for COMSEC activities, and conducting training materials for COMSEC operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions.
  • Perform systems management and integration functions to improve existing computer systems.
  • Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations.
  • Assist in the analysis of operational activities to obtain a quantitative basis for decision making.
  • Utilize mathematics, statistical methods, and engineering techniques to devise models and measurement techniques.
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of technical principles within the Cyber Research field.
  • Provide consultation on technical solutions for complex problems.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of COMSEC inventory and submit required accounting reports.
  • Administer initial briefings and debriefings to individual users.
  • Complete required NSA COMSEC training within performance timelines.
  • Program and distribute COMSEC devices, including secure phones and network encryptors.
  • Order, receipt, loading, and management of COMSEC keying material.
  • Ensure compliance with NSA policies for COMSEC accounts.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to COMSEC equipment holders.
  • Evaluate new COMSEC equipment for DSS use.
  • Maintain a stock of COMSEC equipment for emergency circuits and repairs.
  • Update and maintain SOPs for COMSEC activities.
  • Re-key circuits as required and manage COMSEC material accountability.
  • Maintain COMSEC access lists for controlled areas.
  • Prepare and submit account correspondence and accounting reports accurately.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks for clearance validity.
  • Develop and conduct COMSEC training and materials.

Requirements
