About the position

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Computer Systems Programmer specializing in JEE Applications Development. The role involves analyzing, developing, maintaining applications, and troubleshooting production issues. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work three days a week in Laurel, MD, and offers an opportunity to work on impactful IT and health solutions while contributing to a community-focused organization.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing software and develop medium complexity special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications.
• Develop application programs, testing the functionality of the software, and troubleshooting issues found by users.
• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
• Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
• Develop application software with a variety of programming languages.
• Develop and maintain JEE applications.
• Modernize legacy applications.
• Provide operational support for existing applications.
• Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams, including Platform, DBA, Network, Security, Help Desk, and Change Management.
• Collaborate with QA team to support application QA and UAT.
• Support system patching, DR exercises, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with a variety of operating systems including Windows, Linux, and mainframe.
• 3+ years of hands-on full stack development experience.
• Experience with enterprise-level application development and microservice architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with frameworks such as CDI/Spring Framework and JPA.
• Experience using relational database systems.

Nice-to-haves

• 8+ years' experience in application and web systems development.
• Proficient in using Functional Interfaces and Lambdas in Java.
• Experience with Java EE (CDI, JSF/ORM, and JPA) or Spring Framework.
• SOAP and/or REST API developments.
• Frontend technologies - CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and HTML.
• SQL, PL/SQL, Database Design, Oracle and/or SQL Server database servers.
• Experience with IBM Rational Application Developer or Eclipse.
• Familiarity with Maven and CI/CD.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns.
