About the position

The Computer Technician position at Doña Ana County involves delivering high-quality first-level IT support and resolutions for service requests. The role focuses on troubleshooting, analyzing, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, network systems, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and customer service protocols.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests utilizing the IT Ticketing System.
• Diagnose equipment and software issues and perform repairs or replacements.
• Setup and configure users onto the DAC network.
• Guide users in the use of enterprise computer systems and programs.
• Install, examine, and test operating systems and applications software.
• Evaluate systems for compatibility with existing systems.
• Contact customer support services for troubleshooting purposes.
• Troubleshoot issues with the basic digital phone/network system.
• Create, update, and maintain department documentation and procedures.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and trainings as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a technical computer position.
• Valid driver's license.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with various types of personal computer hardware systems.
• Experience with software systems including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

Benefits
