Responsibilities
- Conduct an investigation of candidate pursuant to The School Code to determine whether candidate has been convicted of any criminal or drug offenses.
- Perform a check on the Statewide Sex Offender Database.
- Review the criminal history of applicants, employees, independent contractors, student teachers, substitutes, and certain volunteers.
- Verify education, employment, and criminal history.
Requirements
- Must authorize the school district to conduct background checks.
- Must certify that the information provided in the application is true.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of languages other than English.
