The position involves providing technical support for hardware, software, and network systems at assigned campuses. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and updating technology components, as well as assisting the Technology Services department with hardware inventories. The role requires transporting technology assets between district facilities and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The individual will also be responsible for service work documentation, communicating technology issues with vendors, and supporting designated campuses during online testing. Additionally, the position entails performing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime on technology components and ensuring the maintenance and repair scheduling of assigned vehicles and equipment.

  • Provide technical support of hardware, software, and network at assigned campuses.
  • Assist the Technology Services department in performing hardware inventories.
  • Provide setup and movement of hardware at assigned campuses.
  • Transport technology assets between district facilities.
  • Report recommendations to reduce cost and increase productivity to the Technology Service Center Manager.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required to reduce downtime on technology components.
  • Responsible for service work documentation of all assigned jobs.
  • Responsible for communicating technology issues appropriately, and when warranted, with proper vendors.
  • Support designated campuses during online testing.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair scheduling of assigned CFISD vehicle and equipment to always ensure safe and operable conditions (when applicable).
  • Operate all technology equipment in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology related field or two years of troubleshooting experience to the component level and technology customer or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience equal.
  • CompTIA's A+ Certification preferred.
  • Second industry standard certification preferred (i.e., Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSE, etc.).
  • Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driver's record.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Willing to complete intensive computer-related on the job training.
  • Willing to utilize personal transportation vehicle daily between assigned campuses and the Instructional Support Center (Reimbursement for mileage will be provided).
  • Salary of $50,798/TC3 based on experience as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2023-2024.
  • Reimbursement for mileage when utilizing personal transportation vehicle.
