BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Computer User Support Specialist Senior with 10+ years' experience for Department of Defense program onsite at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA. and/or Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to computer users
- Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically
- May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
- Senior level person typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
- Senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
- Monitor computer system performance to ensure proper operation
- Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues
- Provide technical support for software maintenance or use
- Install and maintain computer hardware
- Resolve computer software problems
- Install software and test computer software performance
- Train others in computer interface or software use
Requirements
- Over 10+ years of experience performing the duties described in the Functional Description and Responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening-for staff, customer and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
- Ability to work independently; self-starter
- Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
