About the position

As a Computer Vision Engineer/Data Scientist at Georgia IT Inc., you will play a pivotal role in advancing our capabilities in image and video processing. This position is hybrid, requiring you to work in our Atlanta office three days a week. Your primary focus will be on researching, analyzing, and developing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms that facilitate object detection, recognition, tracking, and classification. You will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing existing models to improve their accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that our technology remains at the forefront of the industry. In this role, you will also create and deploy ETL workflows using Alteryx, which will be essential for managing the data pipeline necessary for machine learning applications. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, machine learning experts, and product managers, to seamlessly integrate computer vision technology into our products and services. Your ability to experiment with new and emerging technologies will be crucial in solving complex real-world problems through innovative computer vision techniques. You will be tasked with collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing visual data to prepare it for machine learning model training. Staying current with the latest developments in machine learning and computer vision research will be vital to your success in this position. Additionally, you will write reusable, testable, and efficient code, and document the development process, algorithm details, and project results for both internal and external stakeholders. Finally, you will deploy modules in AWS/Azure Cloud environments, ensuring that our solutions are scalable and robust.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and develop computer vision algorithms for image and video processing, object detection, recognition, tracking, and classification.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in developing computer vision algorithms and models.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools, particularly Alteryx.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deployment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
