About the position

The Reality Labs team is at the forefront of developing world-class Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality hardware and software, aiming to connect people globally. With dedicated departments for AR/VR research, computer vision, haptics, and social interaction, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology through relentless innovation. The potential of AR and VR to transform the world is immense, and we are just beginning to explore its possibilities. Our XRTech team is responsible for exploring, developing, and delivering cutting-edge technologies that form the foundation of current and future Reality Labs products. This includes a focus on mixed reality, human interaction, and natural input, with an emphasis on taking new technologies from early concepts to product realization. We iterate, prototype, and assess the human value and new experiences these technologies can provide. As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will leverage your deep C++ skills and passion for solving complex computer vision and image processing challenges. You will be tasked with studying state-of-the-art algorithms for 3D reconstruction and mapping, designing new algorithms or adapting existing ones to enable novel capabilities, and collaborating closely with algorithm developers, system architects, and designers to create innovative experiences. Your role will also involve coding deliverables alongside the engineering team, maintaining and improving existing software processing pipelines, and analyzing the efficiency of algorithms. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing security measures to protect information and developing standards for software use and acquisition.
