About the position

The 3D Vision team at Apple Maps is seeking talented individuals to join their group of computer vision and machine learning experts. The role involves researching and developing innovative methods and algorithms for creating accurate and hyper-realistic 3D experiences on a global scale, utilizing large datasets collected from various moving platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel methods within differentiable rendering, generative models, and other areas of computer vision and machine learning.
• Work with large datasets of different modalities, including aerial, satellite, and ground data.
• Collaborate with a small team to tackle complex real-world problems in computer vision and machine learning.

Requirements

• Strong background in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
• Significant experience in researching and developing innovative approaches within Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
• Solid programming skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Published papers in top-tier CV/ML conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, Siggraph, etc.).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks and infrastructure.
• Experience with modern differentiable rendering methods, such as NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, etc.
• Experience with diffusion models or similar.
• Knowledge of computer graphics fundamentals.
• Solid Python skills.
• Some experience with C/C++.
• Some experience with GPU/graphics languages, such as CUDA, OpenGL, or Metal.
