About the position

Insight Global is hiring for a top research team in Redmond, WA, focused on advancing the state of the art in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and innovative methods for mapping the human body. We are seeking a Computer Vision Research Engineer who is passionate about introducing groundbreaking capabilities in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and imaging. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex real-time systems using C++.
  • Develop imaging and computer vision algorithms or related signal processing algorithms.
  • Optimize software for performance, including low-level software optimization at the instruction level, loop optimization, vectorization, data organization, and caching.
  • Collaborate with a research team to advance the state of the art in computer vision and machine learning.
  • Contribute to the theoretical knowledge in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and image processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing complex real-time systems using C++.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development for imaging and computer vision algorithms or related signal processing fields.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python.
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Theoretical knowledge in the field of computer vision, machine learning, and image processing, or ISP sensors.
  • Experience with low-level software optimization at the instruction level, loop optimization, vectorization, data organization, and caching.
  • Theoretical knowledge of audio pipeline and algorithms: capture, render, codecs.
  • Experience in the development of imaging and computer vision or related signal processing algorithms (e.g., OpenCV, Eigen, Halide, Game physics and 3D graphics, CODECs, or Communication).
