About the position

Lonza Pharma & Biotech is seeking an experienced Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Administrator to join our team in Bend, Oregon. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of proactive maintenance work at our site. The CMMS Administrator will be responsible for maximizing the maintenance workforce's productivity while minimizing total maintenance costs and efforts. This position requires a strong understanding of maintenance processes and the ability to manage and maintain master data within the CMMS and Calibration Management System (CMS). The successful candidate will play a key role in training new users, leading improvement projects, and providing ongoing support to all CMMS users. In this role, you will maintain and update CMMS training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring that all users are equipped with the necessary knowledge to utilize the system effectively. You will also coordinate with maintenance planners to ensure that maintenance tasks are scheduled appropriately for optimal execution. Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for compliance and management review will be a critical part of your responsibilities, as will documenting master data standards and any changes made to the system. The CMMS Administrator will also be responsible for performing administrative closures of work orders, reviewing completed work orders, and attending internal user group meetings to share best practices. A strong emphasis on safety compliance and effective communication with various stakeholders, including shop floor personnel, vendors, and management, is essential. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the master data within the CMMS and CMS, including equipment, hierarchy, work orders, maintenance plans, and calibration functions.
  • Provide training to new users of the CMMS.
  • Maintain and update CMMS training materials and SOPs.
  • Lead improvement projects for the CMMS system and data to enhance work efficiency.
  • Support all CMMS users in their day-to-day usage of the system.
  • Coordinate with maintenance planners to ensure appropriate scheduling of maintenance tasks.
  • Perform CMMS reporting on KPIs for compliance and management review.
  • Document master data standards and changes made to the master data.
  • Execute SME approved changes in the system for new equipment, maintenance plans, and improvement projects.
  • Manage user access requests in the portal.
  • Perform administrative closures of work orders and review completed work orders.
  • Attend internal user group meetings for best practice sharing.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year associate degree or 4-year BS degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on, detailed work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a maintenance department with CMMS management experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a clean environment when needed to support manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate employees.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and financial factors in maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings.
