About the position

JHNA Technology Security is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented COMSEC Clerk to support our NAWC customer at Webster Outlying Field (WOLF). This position is crucial for the management and accountability of all COMSEC devices and materials, ensuring that all operations comply with US Government security regulations and directives. The COMSEC Clerk will be responsible for conducting daily vault inventories, issuing and receiving COMSEC equipment and keying materials, and overseeing the destruction of keys as necessary. In addition to these responsibilities, the COMSEC Clerk will conduct reviews of current policies and procedures, providing findings and recommendations to leadership. The role also involves providing initial COMSEC briefings and conducting periodic and ad hoc COMSEC training to ensure that all personnel are adequately informed about security protocols. The Clerk will maintain compliance with security regulations by participating in compliance assessment reviews and performing self-inspections to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. The position requires the completion of daily facility inspection checklists, managing door and safe combinations, and ensuring that secure storage and workspaces are maintained for both customers and the company. The COMSEC Clerk will also be responsible for maintaining a document and material accountability program, conducting annual inventories of accountable materials, and resolving any related program security issues as they arise. Additional tasking may be required as needed to support the overall security mission.

Responsibilities

  • Support Local Elements at NAWC WOLF, responsible for management and accountability of all COMSEC devices and materials.
  • Provide periodic physical security measures in accountability of COMSEC Devices, keys, CAC, and other controlled items.
  • Conduct daily vault inventory.
  • Issue and receive COMSEC equipment and keying material.
  • Conduct destruction of keys.
  • Conduct reviews of current policies and procedures and provide findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide initial COMSEC briefings and conduct periodic and ad hoc COMSEC training.
  • Maintain compliance with the US Government security regulations and directives.
  • Participate in compliance assessment reviews and perform self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action.
  • Complete daily facility inspection checklists, manage door/safe combinations, etc. to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain document and material accountability program, oversee secure storage and workspaces for customers and company, conduct annual inventory of accountable material.
  • Resolve other related program Security issues as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Strong initiative with ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Problem solving/process improvement skills.
  • Interim clearance required to start.

Nice-to-haves

  • TOP SECRET clearance
  • Experience with COMSEC and KMI as a local element or higher tier.
  • Working knowledge of KMI, CMS, OPSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, PHYSEC
  • Working knowledge of MICS and MTS
  • Completion of COMSEC PQS is a plus.
