About the position
The position involves providing test and evaluation services for various software and hardware systems related to Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and other military communication technologies. The role requires on-site support for configurations, log interpretation, and documentation of tests and events, ensuring compliance with security protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
- Integrates tactical radios and waveforms to enable testing of COMSEC equipment and electronic key distribution over radio networks.
- Supports Army, DoD, and NSA Key Management Working Groups.
- Uses Software Defined Radios to test and evaluate the security of Army equipment.
- Develops sophisticated scripts for security testing.
- Installs and configures ECU’s with modern cryptographic equipment.
- Conducts interoperability testing of SW/HW configuration.
- Installs, maintains, and configures strap settings and loaded keys for cryptographic devices.
Requirements
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience.
- Must have experience with MS Office, VISIO.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with COMSEC infrastructure, devices, applications, and protocols (e.g., EKMS, KMI, MGC, SKL, TKL, iApp, JENM/ATOM, ACES, Atom, End Cryptographic Units, OTNK, Next Generation Load Device Medium (NGLD-M)).
- Experience writing test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
- Experience interfacing with vendors and other government stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Experienced with problem-solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to coworkers, management, and customers.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of COMSEC operations, policies, and PKI.
- Understands network and RF protocols.
