About the position

We are looking for a talented, experienced and eager Senior Concept Artist to join our team, helping us to create fun and engaging golf content. As a Senior Concept Artist at Nordeus, you will have the creative freedom to shape the look of Golf Rival within a small, independent team, closely cooperating with developers, game designers and other artists to reach the goal of making the best golf game in the world!

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to define targets and visual style on Golf Rival
• Conceptualise and create rich, diverse environments based on real-life locations
• Explore and conceptualise engaging, elaborately themed golf balls
• Draught concepts from initial sketches through to final polished artwork
• Engage and work cross discipline to visually drive open questions to conclusion
• Brainstorm ideas and adding your creativity to the team
• Guide and mentor those around you to improve their skills
• Be the 'go to' person for anything concept art related on the team

Requirements

• Outstanding portfolio showcasing ability to define the look & feel of a game though various art styles and techniques proven in your concept art
• Experience of a number of full game development cycles operating on top of your game
• Superior artistic skills, specifically drawing and painting in both digital and traditional media
• Passion and understanding of both human form and anatomy together with an appreciation of architecture with both hard and organic surfaced props and environments
• Deep artistic understanding of light, colour, composition and perspective as shown in portfolio
• Acute skills in specifying, sourcing, collating and presenting visual reference materials
• The ability to adapt visual design methodologies and treatments to fit within any production and design constraints
• Ability to provide, receive and act upon constructive feedback both written and verbal
• Happy to run and conduct mentoring, workshops or talks to help those around you level up
• Awareness of cultural trends in art and design across a wide range of topics to add a fresh view to any brief
• Exposure and understanding of 3D pipelines across the art discipline
• LOVE for video games and have a passion for game art
