About the position

The Concessions Attendant at Crystal Cove Aquatic Center is responsible for operating the concession stand under the direction of the concession stand manager. This role involves maintaining health regulations, providing excellent customer service, and managing sales transactions. The position is entry-level and requires a commitment to quality service and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate the concession stand under the direction of the manager.
• Understand and maintain health regulations.
• Promote customer service.
• Report to work at scheduled times.
• Use a cash register for sales and give change.
• Balance the register at the end of the day.
• Complete product inventory.
• Operate all concession equipment.
• Clean the stand, eating area, and all equipment.
• Restock items as needed.
• Attend staff training sessions.
• Educate patrons on the rules.
• Fill out reports as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Knowledge of food service operations.
• Knowledge of cash register operation and balancing money.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to actively listen and understand customer needs.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to assess problems.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Ability to read and understand directions.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification as Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator.
