About the position

The Concessions Manager at Impact Catering is responsible for overseeing all concession operations at the Oklahoma State Fair. This role involves ensuring that all concession locations are properly set up, operational, and compliant with sanitation and safety standards. The manager will supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure guest satisfaction during events. Additionally, the Concessions Manager will assist in training staff and volunteers, handle cash management, and provide operational support in the absence of the Director of Concessions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper set-up of all concession locations prior to doors opening.
• Verify opening inventory and assign duties to concession workers.
• Ensure sanitation standards are met and locations are fully operational.
• Ascertain levels of food production based on projected guest attendance.
• Cover any open position to ensure locations are operational and meet company standards.
• Assist with premium services operations and event needs as directed.
• Provide direction and oversight to supervisors and hourly employees.
• Assist with post-event evaluation, data compilation, and tracking of shortages.
• Ensure a safe work environment free from harassment or discrimination.
• Provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years food service/hospitality experience; similar venue experience a plus.
• Valid liquor license/alcohol service permit and food handling certificate if required.
• Experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Solid knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office, POS systems, timekeeping systems.
• Thorough working knowledge of sanitation requirements and food preparation guidelines.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Basic math skills as they relate to cash/credit transactions and inventory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar venue environment.
