About the position

The Concierge position at Gateway Gardens is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional service to residents, patients, employees, and visitors. The primary purpose of this role is to maintain positive relationships and ensure a welcoming environment within the community. The Concierge will handle various administrative tasks, manage communications, and assist with resident inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome everyone entering the community with a smile and friendly demeanor.
• Offer refreshments to individuals waiting in the lobby.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel as instructed by management.
• Receive inquiries from visitors, residents, family members, and employees, directing them to the correct personnel for information.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of residents and manage the Resident Registry.
• Receive maintenance requests, complete work orders, and forward them to maintenance staff.
• Conduct daily checks on all residents and maintain a resident absentee register.
• Ensure that outside contractors, delivery personnel, service workers, and visitors sign in and out in a daily journal.
• Make copies for residents and staff as needed using copy machines.
• Send fax copies for residents and staff as appropriate.
• Keep a record of all cash received at the front desk, including payments for employee meals and postage, to be submitted to bookkeeping monthly.
• Perform any other tasks, assignments, projects, or requests as deemed necessary by management.
• Address every individual leaving the community as directed by management.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Must dress professionally as directed by management.
• Must possess patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Personable, friendly, and enjoys smiling.
