About the position

The Concierge at Evolve Senior Living is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for visitors and residents. This part-time role involves greeting guests, arranging property tours, answering multi-line phones, and providing clerical support to the administrative team. The Concierge serves as the first point of contact for the community, embodying the organization's core values of integrity, accountability, innovation, and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the mission, core values, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.
  • Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.
  • Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
  • Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization's values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.
  • Greet visitors seeking information about the property.
  • Be responsive to the needs of people who inquire about the property and/or who are in the building for meetings with administrative personnel.
  • Direct visitors to appropriate office or resident apartment.
  • Responsible for assisting residents, family members, and guests with general requests.
  • Responsible for arranging tours of the property for individuals making spontaneous visits or those that have made an appointment for the tour.
  • Answers telephones, records, and channels information.
  • Displays knowledge of the services and programs and other pertinent information regarding the property.
  • Responsible for the mail meter, stamps, making copies, and other tasks related to office operations.
  • Administers required medical screening.
  • Processes incoming mail, sorts property mail, and distributes mail to mailboxes.
  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Ensures that the reception desk and lobby have current property literature on display.
  • Ensures that the lobby is free of excessive or outdated literature.
  • Ensures that coffee and/or refreshments are fresh and readily available.
  • Performs clerical duties for property staff as directed by supervisor.
  • Provides support to the Community's marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
  • Communicates any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisory immediately.
  • Maintains a safe work environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
  • Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and be able to follow written or oral instructions.
  • Able to make independent decisions when the circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
  • Able to deal professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
  • Knowledge of administrative practices, processes, and guidelines.
  • Experience using computer software (Microsoft).
  • Have patience, professionalism, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and be willing to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
