The position involves planning, laying out, and installing forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts for the construction of concrete structures. This role requires adherence to all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The individual will be responsible for interpreting prints, drawings, and specifications, and must possess the ability to visualize objects in three dimensions based on these plans. The work is primarily hands-on, involving the construction, erection, installation, and repair of structures, scaffolding, and frameworks using both hand and power tools. In addition to the physical construction tasks, the role includes measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts. The individual will construct and erect either built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms according to specifications for molding concrete structures. This includes erecting built-in-place forms or assembling and installing prefabricated forms, inserting spreaders and tie-rods to maintain specific dimensions, and bracing forms in place using various materials such as nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, and timber. Once the forms are in place, the individual will pour concrete into the finished forms, finish concrete surfaces to specifications, and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications. The role also requires estimating sizes, distances, and quantities, as well as determining the time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform work activities. Additionally, the individual will inspect the work of subordinates for compliance with contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies, and take corrective actions as necessary.
