Concrete Finisher

About the position

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our specialty contracting team in Columbia, TN. This hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality concrete services for both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that poured concrete is smoothed and finished to meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Pour, level, and smooth concrete using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Shape concrete to specified forms and finishes (e.g., smooth, broomed, stamped).
• Monitor the effects of weather conditions on the curing process and make necessary adjustments.
• Install and maintain concrete reinforcement (rebar, wire mesh) when necessary.
• Perform finishing tasks such as edging, jointing, and repairing imperfections.
• Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a concrete finisher or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of different concrete mixes, techniques, and finishes.
• Ability to work with precision and care for detail.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in concrete finishing (trowels, screeds, edgers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to comply with safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
