About the position

The Concrete Finisher at Archer Western Construction, a member of The Walsh Group, is responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of recently poured concrete to meet specified quality and texture standards. This role involves using both hand and power tools to ensure high-quality finishes on concrete structures, contributing to the overall success of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Levels and smoothes edges and finishing surfaces of concrete structures.
• Repairs rough or defective areas within concrete surfaces, including the application of cementitious products such as cement, sand, and other pigments.
• Grouts and plugs on surfaces, including dry packaging; can chip to prepare the finished concrete product.
• Installs and finishes epoxy compounds on concrete surfaces using hand/power tools.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors to ensure proper project completion.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
