About the position

The Concrete Finisher at Reece Albert Inc. is responsible for performing various carpentry tasks related to the preparation, pouring, placing, and finishing of concrete in heavy construction projects. This role involves physical labor and requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces for concrete.
• Finish exposed surfaces of fresh concrete paving and structures.
• Form and finish edges and joints of concrete.
• Finish concrete curbs and gutters.
• Patch imperfections in concrete surfaces after forms are removed.
• Handle and store materials appropriately.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Conduct pre-shift safety inspections of equipment.
• Report repairs and safety issues promptly.
• Participate in morning stretch and flex programs.
• Adhere to DOT and OSHA safety rules and company policies.
• Represent Reece Albert values at all times.

Requirements

• Must pass physical and drug screen.
• At least one year of experience finishing concrete is required.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including possible weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice-to-haves

• Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work.
• Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions is helpful.
