About the position

The Concrete Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project management activities related to marine construction projects. This role involves developing bid packages, estimating project costs, selecting suppliers, procuring materials, scheduling work activities, and ensuring successful project completion while adhering to the company's core values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Teamwork, and Integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project Management Team to ensure successful project completion and profitability.
  • Provide overall project management guidance and oversight to Superintendents and Foremen for marine construction projects.
  • Develop bid proposals for upcoming projects and ensure timely submission.
  • Negotiate contracts and change orders as required.
  • Estimate costs for upcoming projects, accounting for materials, services, labor, and other costs.
  • Procure materials and services from suppliers as needed for projects.
  • Interpret project plans and specifications for stakeholders.
  • Schedule project work activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Interface with project team members, suppliers, and customers involved in project work.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for project team members and compliance with safety practices.
  • Participate in Safety and Environmental initiatives to comply with regulations.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in project management.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management & Administration, Marine Construction Materials Procurement, Estimating, Scheduling, Project Tracking Software, Cost Control, Engineering & Project Standards, and Safety & Environmental Compliance.
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of the business quickly.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interface with employees at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior work experience in marine construction or heavy industrial industries.
