About the position
The Concrete Superintendent - Solar position at BVCI involves overseeing construction activities on a solar project located in Petersburg, IN. The role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure project requirements are met, including safety, quality, and performance standards. The superintendent will interface with direct hire supervision and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to schedules and project expectations while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Construction Manager in ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Monitor and report on construction activities for compliance with the CPM schedule.
- Assist craft/subcontractors in resolving issues related to drawings, schedule, quality, and safety.
- Monitor discipline construction productivity and report to the Construction Manager.
- Develop and monitor a 3 Week Look Ahead Schedule for assigned work scope.
- Conduct foreman/subcontractor meetings for planning purposes.
- Maintain a daily log for site records and review timesheets and progress payment requests.
- Communicate and coordinate work plans with other discipline Superintendents and the Construction Manager.
- Develop a Job Hazard Analysis for major erection packages.
- Provide supervision, training, and performance management to direct reports.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects.
- Valid Driver's License.
- OSHA 10 certification.
