The Conference and Events Planner at the University of South Florida's Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) is a pivotal role responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordination of conferences and special events that align with the research mission of the MCOM Office of Research and the USF Health Heart Institute. This position acts as the primary liaison between internal units and external constituents, providing organizational leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of various events, including conferences, workshops, faculty recruitment events, and public functions. The MCOM Office of Research supports faculty and students in their research endeavors by offering administrative support, and this role is integral to ensuring that events run smoothly and effectively. The planner will manage all aspects of event logistics, including budgeting, marketing, vendor coordination, and on-site support. This includes overseeing the annual USF Health Research Day, where the planner will handle everything from managing the budget to coordinating the keynote speaker's itinerary. The planner will also provide on-site support for seminar series and special events, ensuring that all necessary materials and setups are in place for successful execution. In addition to these responsibilities, the Conference and Events Planner will coordinate various research networking events, educational workshops, and other meetings as needed.
