About the position

The Conference Center Chief of Staff plays a crucial role in fostering open communication and motivation among Summer Staff while focusing on ministry goals and leadership. This position is designed to ensure the smooth execution of staff roles, maintain staff morale, and promote engaging team dynamics in alignment with Mount Hermon Association's mission, vision, and values. The role is full-time during the summer months and part-time during the rest of the year, emphasizing a ministerial approach to leadership and community building.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to summer staff, collaborating with the Family Ministries leadership team to set vision and direction.
• Offer spiritual and job-specific guidance to Summer Staff through weekly training and mentoring.
• Supervise and coach Conference Center Staff Counselors, aiding in community development and conflict resolution.
• Document and communicate inspiring stories from camp to motivate staff.
• Work with Family Ministries Director and HR to manage coaching conversations and personal improvement plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school graduate with college experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Prior experience in leadership roles is preferred.
• Experience in developing and leading large groups or teams is beneficial.
• Previous experience at Mount Hermon Association is preferred.
