About the position

We are currently hiring for Conference Service Aide (Housekeepers) to join the National Lutheran Communities & Services family. This role has a high level of resident interaction and daily positive impact. The Conference Service Aide primarily performs complex and routine housekeeping work, ensuring cleanliness in assigned areas such as public spaces. Additionally, this position assists with event setup, collaborating with other departments to ensure a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for residents and guests. The role is essential in maintaining the overall appearance and hygiene of the facility, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine housekeeping work in assigned areas.
• Clean and maintain public spaces to ensure a pleasant environment.
• Assist with event setup as required by other departments.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety and health standards are met.
• Operate floor care machines and high-speed buffers as needed.
• Utilize detergents, germicides, strippers, and other cleaning supplies effectively.
• Strip and wax floors as part of routine maintenance.

Requirements

• Knowledge and proficiency in environmental services practices.
• Ability to operate floor care machines and high-speed buffers.
• Familiarity with detergents, germicides, strippers, and other cleaning supplies.
• Experience in stripping and waxing floors.
• Strong communication skills to interact at all levels.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks effectively.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare community is preferred.
