About the position

The Configuration Analyst position at Northrop Grumman is part of the Military Internship Program (SkillBridge), designed for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience. This role focuses on configuration management of technical data and documents related to embedded defense software systems, ensuring that baselines are maintained and reproducible. The successful candidate will engage in configuration management planning, process control, and execution, while also managing Configuration Control Board activities and improving configuration management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform configuration management of technical data and documents related to embedded defense software systems.
  • Schedule and manage Configuration Control Board activities.
  • Ensure configuration identification, configuration audits, and control of the CM process.
  • Maintain, update, and improve Configuration Management processes and procedures.
  • Support engineering activities within document management and DMSMS areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in configuration management in a US Department of Defense environment, or 7 years' experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and handle multiple competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication, business analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective customer service skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, including document management and workflow monitoring.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint.
  • 5+ years' experience supporting the development, sustainment, or deployment of US military avionics or software systems.
