About the position

The Configuration Management Analyst position in Huntsville, Alabama, is designed for an individual with strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail. The role involves coordinating configuration management activities, ensuring compliance with policies, and collaborating with various teams to implement customer requirements effectively. The ideal candidate will thrive in a manufacturing environment and will be responsible for managing product design changes and maintaining program plans across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating changes to product design documents with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and other support organizations.
  • Ensuring that customer requirements are implemented and compliance with configuration management policies is maintained.
  • Performing engineering data control activities, including administration of government/industry documents and creation/release of parts.
  • Modifying and providing input to policies and procedures governing CM-related processes, collaborating with stakeholders for process improvements.
  • Preparing and maintaining program plans that define how configuration management will be accomplished on multiple strategic, commercial, and developmental programs.
  • Interfacing directly and professionally with customers and functional/integrated product teams to accomplish CM for multiple programs.
  • Representing strategic and commercial programs in the selection, development, implementation, and maintenance of digital tools such as PLM and ERP tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM field with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience or 3 years of experience with a master's degree.
  • 5-10 years of related experience in configuration management.
  • Ability to obtain DoD Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge in Agile development processes and continuous integration.
  • Understanding of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ and Java code.
  • Preferred knowledge of FACE, MOSA, OMS, and UCS standards.
  • Experience with configuration management related to NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework policies and procedures.
