About the position

The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Data Analyst is responsible for administering and executing the configuration management process, closely monitoring CMDB health, and optimizing its performance. This position collaborates with IT System Administrators and process owners to maintain accurate and up to date CMDB data.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and troubleshoots the performance of the ServiceNow environments (Dev, Test, and Production Instances).
• Conducts routine health assessments of environments, ensuring peak performance and availability.
• Implements and maintains ServiceNow security policies, roles, and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensures the CMDB adheres to best practices for the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Validates and updates configuration items (CIs) within the CMDB on a consistent basis.
• Collaborates with process owners to maintain accurate and relevant CI information.
• Manages and optimizes ServiceNow Discovery processes.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to identify and onboard new CIs.
• Troubleshoots and resolves discovery-related issues promptly.
• Maintains comprehensive documentation related to CMDB processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Generates reports on CMDB health, data accuracy, and compliance.
• Participates in supporting the asset management process by auditing inventory, gathering processes, and developing leadership reporting strategies to comply with auditing requirements.
• Supports and provides input for the implementation of the IT Service Management roadmap.
• Cooperates in reporting on key metrics for each ITIL discipline.
• Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Equivalent to a four-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB administration and configuration.

Nice-to-haves

• ITIL Foundation V3 or V4 Certification.
• ServiceNow certification (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist - CMDB) preferred.
